[Peacectr_list] Hearing on Maine legislation to ban signature gathering at polling places on Election Day

Leading Maine Democrats and Republicans are co-sponsoring a bill (LD 1726) to make citizen initiatives much, much harder by banning signature gathering at polling places on Election Day.  The public hearing will be on January 3 at 1pm in State House Room 437 before the Committee on Veterans and Legal Affairs, in Augusta.
