We sent out the following email last week about heating oil
assistance from Citizens Energy. Some folks incorrectly sent their
completed application to us.
Applications must be sent to:

Citizens Energy (a non-profit energy company)
In partnership with CITGO, Citizens Energy works with thousands of
oil heat dealers and local fuel assistance agencies in 16 states to
provide deliveries of home heating oil to those in need. This year
the Oil Heat Program will provide eligible families a one-time
delivery of 100 gallons of home heating oil.
Citizens Energy began taking applications on December 3, 2007.
To receive a delivery during the 2007-2008 winter season, Citizens
Energy must receive all applications and requests for processing by
February 29, 2008.
Individual Households: How to Apply
Beginning December 3, 2007, families that need heating assistance can:
1. Call the Citizens Energy Oil Heat Program's toll free hotline,
1-877-JOE-4-OIL (1-877-563-4645,) or
2. Apply online to complete an application

or
3. Go to the website and download, print and mail in the application.
Citizens Energy Oil Heat Program will notify households/families by
mail on their application status.
Qualified families will receive a one-time delivery of up to 100
gallons of heating oil.

February 29, 2008.
Apply Online
This year we are proud to announce that families can apply directly
online. We encourage families who can, to use this new feature for
fast and efficient program enrollment.
Also available is an application families can download, print and mail in.
All applicants, regardless of participation in fuel assistance, are
required to fill out an application providing an income and signature
before being considered for eligibility.
